Making The Brand: Cimone Key

Making The Brand: Cimone Key

"I would like to be known for making people feel seen and special."

The first woman that June Rose Skin worked with from a creative lens was Cimone Key.  Her expertise that has spanned across businesses such as Amazon, Adidas, Neiman Marcus, and more notable companies was the foundation in creating the logo, branding, and color palette of our company. Her own passion to see Black Women win in business made the collaboration a dynamic effort.

How do you define your legacy?

My legacy is being able to leave a lasting impression on my youth, family, and peers by showing them that anything is possible if you just believe it is.

What phrase comes to mind when speaking about Black Women

One-of-a-kind!

Is there a time where you did not feel attractive? How did you learn to fall in love with what you didn't like?

I felt the most attractive when I hit my mid-twenties. Looking at myself in the mirror, I kept telling myself how pretty I was and seeing how colors glowed on my dark skin rather than blended in. Seeing beauty in other darker skinned complexion on tv and with my sister allowed me to appreciate myself.

Growing up, my great grandma's house was a place for Sunday dinners, when people were birthed, and when people passed on. June's house was a space that encompassed so many things at once. What's your June

My prayer closet allows me to be free and spend time with God. I dream, laugh and cry with him
